Downloadable ArcView Lessons

This component of the White-Throated Sparrow GIS Education Center is dedicated to individuals or institutions that have site licensees to ArcView 3.X (ESRI INC) and possess a basic working knowledge of computers and Windows based software. This section contains data and laboratory exercises that can be completed either in a classroom setting or by an interested individual. These ArcView lessons contain both step-by-step laboratory exercises and the practice data needed to complete the exercises. If you have a working knowledge of WinZip and Adobe Acrobat, and both of these programs are installed on your machine, then click here to download your first GIS lesson. If you are not familiar with Winzip or Adobe Acrobat, or both programs are not installed on your machince, click here to learn how to download and install these nessesary programs.

If you do not posses ArcView 3.X, then you can still learn basic GIS knowledge by using our ArcIMS exercises. These exercises require only an internet browser and an internet connection. Click here if you do NOT own a copy of ArcView software.
