Welcome to the Free ArcIMS Tutorial. The Goals of this site are to provide individuals WITHOUT a copy of ArcView GIS with a basic knowledge of GIS and spatial ecology analysis. These lessons will cover topics such as theme layers, scale, statistical analysis, and animal behavior. The only piece of software you will need to complete these lessons is an internet browser. If you have a dial-up connection, the program should still run, but it may be slower.

To begin each of these exercises you should click here first. This will open a new browser page that contains the live interactive map allowing you to flip back and forth between the map and the exercise instructions.

After you have opened the interactive map page, click on the lesson you would like to begin.
