How can I be saved?

Congratulations!  You have found the answer to the question.  This page gives you instruction from the Bible on what you must do to be saved.  Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior is the best decision you could ever make in life.  And fortunately for you, it is easy because Jesus did all the work by dying on the cross for your sins.  Becoming a real Christian is as easy as ABC.

Admitting you are a sinner is the first step you need to take.  Maybe you are a good person but the Bible teaches that every one of us has sinned and come short of the glory of God.  (Romans 3:23)  Be honest with yourself and with God.  You are not perfect and you deserve to be punished for your sin.  However, Jesus took your place on the cross so admit you're a sinner in need of a Savior.

Believing is the next step.  Once you admit you're a sinner you must believe that Jesus is the Savior that you need.  Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead by the power of God.  Romans 10:9 tells us that we must believe in our heart that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins.

Confessing Jesus as your personal Savior is the last step.  Again, Romans 10:10 tells us that as we believe in our heart we must confess with our mouth that we have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Once you accept Jesus, tell others what you have done.  Tell your pastor or contact us to share the good news.  Plan on being obedient to Jesus by being baptized in water because this too provides a great way to publicly proclaim that you have accepted Jesus.  Remember, if you refuse to acknowledge Jesus before other people, He will refuse to acknowledge you before God the Father.  If you're ashamed to tell others about Jesus, then you need to examine yourself to see if you really did give your whole heart and life to Jesus.

If you want to be saved, prayer this prayer out loud while believing it in your heart:

Dear God,

I believe Jesus is Your only Son.

I believe He died on the cross for my sin and rose from the dead on the third day.

Jesus, please forgive me of my sin.  I have sinned against You.  I give You my life.  Thank You for saving me.

Amen.
