Hulman Street Assembly of God

Loving God. Loving Each Other. Loving the Lost

About Us

About Us

In may of 2001, Reverend Patrick Newton became the senior pastor of Hulman Street Assembly. Born and raised in the Wabash Valley, Pastor Newton has a vision for the people of the area.  Pastor Newton graduated Magna Cum laude from ISU in 1989 with two degrees in Construction Management and Architecture.

Upon graduation, he immediately entered the field and began successfully pursuing this career.  But shortly thereafter, the Lord called him into the preaching ministry.  Pastor Newton gave up all that he had worked for to follow the calling of God upon his life.  He entered the ministry in 1992, was ordained in 1998 and has never looked back. Since then, the anointing of the Lord Jesus has evident in his ministry.  Thousands have been touched through the dynamic preaching and the gifts of the Holy Spirit working through him.

Our Vision

The vision of the Hulman Street Assembly is to sincerely seek to love God, to love each other and to love the lost.

We strive to love God by our devotion to only Him.  We love Him through our genuine worship, through our faithful giving, through our obedience to His Word, and through our dedication to serve Him always in every way.

We endeavor to love each other with the same love Jesus has shown to us.  We love each other  by encouraging one another in faith, through our prayers for each other, through our friendships, through our willingness to help out in time of need, and through our pledge to one another to build up and no to tear down.

We commit ourselves to love the lost by sharing with them the most priceless gift ever, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We promise to share our faith and testimony with them, to live a Godly example before their eyes, to minister to their spiritual needs as well as material needs, and always be ready to lead them to the Lord.

What we believe

1. The Scriptures Inspired

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

2. The One True God

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
