About the Terre Haute Choral Society
Founded in 1974 the THCS sings at least two concerts a year. In recent years it has sung with the Terre Haute Symphony, performing a Holiday Pops concert, Brahms Requiem and, most recently, the Mozart Grand Mass in CMinor. The Society has also performed the St Nicholas Contata by Britten, Bach's Chnstmas Oratorio, the Messiah, A Festival of Christmas Music, and Honegger's King David. Plans for Spring 1992 include singing with the Terre Haute Symphony again on March 28 (An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein), and the Society's own concert, scheduled for Sunday, May 3,3:00 pm, Tilson Music Hall. This concert will contain such pieces as Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, The Silver Swan (Gibbons), The Lobster Quadrille (Fine), and other musical numbers with an animal theme. Rehearsals will start January 20. To get on the mailing list, either for listeners or as singers, complete the information below and give this sheet to the Choral Society member who will be at the door after today's program:
