Inject cloned gene into fertilized egg
- donor eggs increased by superovulation
- pregnant mares serum, HCG hormone
implant egg into pseudopregnant female
some (ɝ%) offspring “integrate” the gene
- transient replication possible
- mosaicism possible
transgenic offspring are grown
- inbreeding can be used to make homozygotes
- cloning now clearly an option (faster to production)
