Plant hormones
- auxins (roots): indole acetic acid = IAA
- cytokinins (shoots)
- ethylene (ripening, differentiation, growth)
Some bacterial species may produce plant hormones, or produce enzymes that alter plant hormone concentrations (e.g. ACC deaminase)
