Requirement
The Occupational Internship requires that you make arrangements to visit and study a training setting. Criteria for meeting this requirement are:

1. The organization that you choose to visit must be different from your current organization. This means that you must arrange to visit outside of your current company, agency, or educational institution. Under special circumstances, the student may be allowed to complete the internship at their present place of employment. This must be arranged in advance, it must be in a department other than what the employee is currently assigned, it must be work over and above the normal duties of the employee, and this must be approved by both the instructor of the course and Department Chairperson.

2. If your primary employment is in an educational institution, either secondary or postsecondary; you may arrange to do the internship visitation at an industrial, business, or agency setting. Another option would be to conduct the internship with the Superintendents Office or School Personnel Director.

3. The organization selected for visitation must have an organized training department or program. Training programs do not need to be in a technical area.
