Tad's political page
Here is my page of political links. It was, for a time, somewhat limited. However, it has rapidly
blossomed to become one of my most prolific offerings, and is now a page which I am quite proud of.
Just give me time, and I promise it will get even bigger! In the meantime, feel free to explore what's
here, and write me with any suggestions you may have regarding additions to this page.
My first list of political links is of essential political literature, including the Declaration of Independence (of the US), and the US Constitution (sorry about the bias--if anyone out there can suggest another nation's Constitution, and give me a link to it somewhere on the net, I'll be happy to add it, too).
I have compiled a list of sites for official government entities, such as the White House, and the House of Representatives. This is for voicing your opinion to those in charge(and you wonder why they're trying to regulate the internet?). Keep 'em honest...stay informed, in-tune, and in contact!!
CapWeb, focusing on Official Congressional Sites
The FedWorld index, again. (I couldn't decide where to put it, so voila!)
The aptly-(if boringly) named Political Index. More interesting than the name suggests. Really.
The Jefferson Project
This list of political links is for links to sites representing the best, most underrated, most misunderstood party in America...the Libertarian Party.
I have compiled/am compiling as many resources to Libertarian articles here, and may someday start an LP and Libertarianism homepage of my own.
In the meantime, browse what I have, and feel free to write and debate, agree, postulate, or place opinion about what you read here. I am always eager to discuss my political views with others, so I will welcome your mail, and promptly (i.e. usually within 3 days) respond to it. Enjoy!
Harry Browne for President 2000 Official Website!
The main Libertarian Party page. (US)
The page for the Libertarian Party of Indiana, my home state.
www.freemarket.net, the world's most
comprehensive source for information on liberty.
An excellent page for Libertarians by James Donald.
James Donald's list of pro-libertarian quotes, including such names as Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Ben Franklin, and PJ O'Rourke.
DRC Net, The Drug Reform Coordination Network
Sobran's, the REAL news of the month. :)
The Libertarian.Org--a huge list of links to LP-related material.
Thank you letter to Libertarians from Harry Browne, from his 1996 campiagn page. Great read!
Pocono, NY Libertarians.
An online store and homepage for Laissez Faire Books, the world's largest selection of books and tapes on liberty.
Express yourself by Burning a Flag! Voice your disagreement with public policy harmlessly.
Never let me be accused of offering only one side of the argument. Here is a very well-written site called Critiques of Libertarianism For the record, I actually agree with SOME of the stuff the guy is saying, there are some kinda weird strains of Libertarianism, and just like any other philosophy, it has some straw-man arguments.
This section contains links to places where you can get involved with
debating online topics. These are places where I like to frequent when
i have extra time, so maybe I'll see ya on there!
- SpeakOut.com
- Yahoo! ClubsThere are LOTS of clubs here, on a number of different topics, not just political. Look around, you're bound to find a few that interest you, and you can be as active or inactive as you like.
My next section deals with certain radio talk show hosts I enjoy listening to, whether or not I agree with everything they say. They are quite entertaining at least, and whether you like them or not, they are having a greater role in determining public opinion.
Neil Boortz, libertarian talk radio. His page is awesome too. Look especially for such highlights as "All the President's Women" (Clinton's women), and "Rules for dating my daughter". :)
An unofficial page for Rush Limbaugh, including an archive of some of his most well known quotes.
...And here's a Rush FAQ.
This list of links concentrates on independant political organizations which I support. [though not yet financially, I'm still just a broke college student (tm)]
CCER National Budget Simulation, from UC-Berkeley. You should see what I do with this! Some would call it butchering (Especially some of the flamers at UC-Berkeley), but I would call Constitionally Responsible!
The US National Debt Clock. Depressing info on how we're going to force ourselves into Libertarianism through bankruptcy!
I have added all of my inmail from the Cato Institute. As a member of their mailing list, I regularly recieve mail about their latest studies, and research, as it is released.
Finally, I have included my personal political files that I felt may be of interest to wandering passers. Some are my personal writings on newsnet, and some are files of political interest I've found here or there around cyberspace (Mostly on Newsnet debates). They are in no particlar order.
As with all of my other pages (actually, this one especially), I welcome comments, suggestions, or whatever.
Oh, and one final wave to a few friends of mine...
...Because no matter how much you want to, you can't stop me from saying that!
