The Bootlegger's League
The Bootlegger's League
This league is an offshoot league from the Closet League, and has primarily the same coaches. It is, however, a smaller league, one of about only 20-25 teams. It is run primarily out of my apartment. The reason it was created was to try out some of the new rules variations seen in the Citadel Journal, White Dwarf Magazine, and various internet sources, as you'll see below. We also kept some of the better house rules from the Closet league, as again you'll see here.
- An injured player's coach is allowed to roll his own injuries. Besides the apparent karmic benifits ("I'd never kill my best player!..."), this prevents the other coach from re-rolling a result he/she deems "not painful enough".
- A coach must have a team at TR 250 before he/she may start another, and then to a limit of 3 teams, regardless of their ratings.
- The coach of the recieving team is allowed to move one player one space closer to the ball on kickoffs after the event is worked out, but before the final scatter, and may, if they happen to be in the correct space, take a free attempt to pick it up.
- Rookie big guys rules in Citadel Journal are valid.
- New Star Players list from the internet are valid.(except Erik Kantona--too much cheese even for this league)
- Lizardman team rules by me, and Slaan team rules by Jeff Allison are valid. (2 Lizard teams, 0 Slaan at the moment)
- Allies rules and Skaven/Goblin team list from Citadel Journal are valid.
- Dedicated Chaos teams and Demons are valid.
- Sigurd's Injury Rule(tm), by Sigurd Garshol, is in effect.
- We've added a new major tournament, the Crystal Chalice, and I forget what the seeding for it is based on.
- The Chaos Cup, in order to be truly chaotic, is at a random time (once) in a season. (Before each tourney, we roll to see if the Chaos Cup happens before it, in which case the other tournament is done later.)
