What is NASA?:
Neighborhoods Against Substance Abuse is the Local Coordinating Council for Hancock County. NASA has been in existence since May of 1990 as a coalition of Hancock County citizens working to combat alcohol and other drug abuse within the structure of the Governor's Commission for a Drug-Free Indiana.

Who is NASA?:
NASA is governed by a Board of Directors, who meets once a month to discuss issues and develops strategies to reduce substance abuse in Hancock County. The Director is a full-time staff, and the only paid member of the group. NASA members cover a wide range of involvement and concerns. Members include professionals in the substance abuse field, law enforcement, schools, students, parents, and concerned citizens. This wide range in membership gives NASA the ability to tap into all corners of substance abuse issues.

What is the Overall Mission of NASA?:
NASA exists to break the cycle of addictions through Prevention, Education, Treatment, and Enforcement. (PETE)
