(Taken from www.clearwisdom.net) The 26th The Indiana International Cultural Festival was held in Indianapolis, Indiana from October 30 to November 3 with over 50 organizations from different nationalities and ethnic groups participating. Among the crowd, several Dafa practitioners in yellow practice suits demonstrated the smooth and elegant Falun Gong movements. The benevolent energy field left a deep impression on the visitors. They stopped to watch and were reluctant to leave. In the short four days, there were many moving stories.
- "It is not right to persecute Falun Dafa"
Next to our booth, two young men from Peru set up a booth to introduce Latin-American culture. Seeing that they expressed interest in our Dafa exercise demonstration, a practitioner went to talk with them. She told them that Falun Dafa is a cultivation way based on the principle of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. Falun Dafa could not only improve health but also purify people's hearts and elevate their moral standard. They realized that human beings need high moral values and were amazed that Falun Dafa could play such role.
When the practitioners told them such a good practice is being persecuted in China, they felt it was incomprehensible. When practitioners showed them the photos that depicted the peaceful truth clarification efforts in the last three years, they were deeply moved. They said, ""It is not right to persecute Falun Dafa. I support you."
Even though she could not read Chinese, a young girl came to our booth and carefully looked at some photos from "Journey of Falun Dafa" in Chinese. She said sincerely that she watched a Falun Gong parade in Chicago earlier this year and saw the graphic photos from the brutal persecution. That parade had left her with a long-lasting impression. She gathered additional information and left. The persecution of Falun Gong is being condemned by more and more people.
- "I admire your courage"
An elderly gentleman came to watch our exercise demonstration several times. He told practitioners, "I have some understanding of Falun Gong. Even though we have different beliefs, I admire your courage very much. I just want to come to tell you this."
- "I will let everyone know Falun Dafa"
The Marion County Library had a booth across from us. The young gentleman at the booth had been observing us. A practitioner gave him some Dafa information and a VCD to help him know more about Falun Gong. He gladly accepted.
When the exhibition concluded and we were about to pack up, the young man walked over to us and said, "I have observed you for several days. I find you are so peaceful. You are so different from people around you. Your exercises are wonderful." Then he said with some embarrassment, "I know you have given me a set of materials, but if possible, could I take more? I will let everyone in my library know about Falun Dafa."
- Precious Chinese people are awakening.
Many Chinese also participated in the exhibition. When practitioners gave information to people at a Chinese art crafts booth, they were all willing to accept and talk. When a practitioner passed a booth, the Chinese vendor said, "Falun Dafa is good." He was very appreciative when the practitioner gave him Dafa information and said, "Falun Dafa is indeed good."
When a Chinese man passed our booth, he said to us, "Falun Gong is special." Practitioner asked him why. He said he had visited San Francisco and many other cities and had seen Falun Gong activities quite a few times. He felt Falun Gong is well organized. Practitioner told him, "Actually Falun Gong does not have any organization. Because so many people have benefited from the practice, they all want others to benefit from Falun Gong, and let people know the truth of the persecution in China."
- Found Falun Dafa
While we were demonstrating Falun Gong exercises, a young American gentleman stopped in front of us and watched attentively. He told us that his aunt had seen Master Li in Russia and practiced Dafa. He had gathered lots of information from his aunt and had great interest in learning the exercises. Today, finally he found Falun Gong, and he was very excited. Before departing, he asked for contact information and practice site information and said he would certainly come and practice with us.
A middle aged Korean gentleman stopped by our booth for a long time. He was learning Taiji. He said he had been searching for something all of his life and maybe what he was looking for was Falun Dafa. He left with local practice site information.
