SSgt Michael A. Lacy

SSgt Michael A. Lacy is the Director of Personnel. He enlisted into the
Air Force in November, 1985 in Denver CO. After completing technical
training at Keesler AFB MS in Jan , 1986, his first tour of duty was at the
833 CSG at Holloman AFB NM. As a personnel specialist at Holloman, his
duties ranged from being assigned as a records custodian to heading the
first base intro program for all newcomers. His dedication to duty and
expertise in the areas assigned was recognized by being named the Airmen of
The Year for the 833 CSG and being promoted to SrA Below the zone.
He completed his tour at Holloman AFB in Jul, 1988 and was reassigned to
Peterson AFB CO. While at Peterson AFB, then a SrA, he was requested by name
to assist with the implementation of the EPR/OPR system for the entire Air
Force Space Command, briefing Commanders and First Sergeants on the new
procedures.
Upon completion of his assignment at Peterson, SSgt Lacy was again requested
by name along with three other individuals, (All SrNCOs) to build the
foundation for Air Forces newest MPF at Falcon AFB CO. There, he built and
directed the Outbound Assignments and Retirement/Separations units within
the MPF. SSgt Lacy is married to the former Stephanie R. Sanchez of Colorado
Springs Co. The Lacy's have two children: Samanatha Raell and Lucas Marklee.
SSgt Lacy is decorated with the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force
Achievement Medal, Air Force National Defense Service Medal and the Air
Force Honor Graduate Ribbon from basic training.
