EXPERIENCE
- Dr. Heath has worked as an industrial trainer and is very active in
the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Robotics International Division.
- His work experience has been in the area of electronics education and
industrial training in the fields of robotics, electronics, and
industrial automation.
- Some of his major areas of interest include: robotics-material
handling, assembly, painting, welding; machine vision-inspection, and
pattern matching; and automated manufacturing-CNC programming and
operation, production layout, and planning.
- He has written several textbooks in robotics and automated
manufacturing as well as electronics; these texts include theoretical as
well as laboratory based materials.
AREAS OF PARTICULAR EXPERTISE
- By working with the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Laboratory at
Indiana State University, Dr. Heath is developing expertise in the area
of designing robot applications for a wide range of industrial
processes.
