A senator at Bakura, she entered politics at an early age.  When her planet was attacked by the Ssi-Ruuk, she met Luke Skywalker and they became a little more than friends.  After defeating the alien force, Luke had to leave and she remained at Bakura to help the people recover.  She later married Commander Thanas, a military officer at Bakura and they had one child before his death.  Later enlisted to help the New Republic, she met Luke again when he asked her to assemble a fleet to fight a power in Corellia.
