Copyright - Copyright is the means for artists, writers and musicians to protect their work and the profits that might be generated from their work. Unless a creator give up all rights to his or her work, it belongs to the creator of the work.
FTP (file transfer protocol) - FTP's are like web sites but they give access to information and files stored on a drive of a computer. The owner of the computer is able to limit who can get on by the use of user names and passwords. The user can also control the rights of the users and limit them to certain files and directories.
WAV - WAV files are files on a computer that generally play sounds. Certain programs can take songs off of CD's and turn them into WAV files.
MP3 - These are compressed WAV files that need a special
external viewer (player) to use them.
