Author Information

I'm an Office Assistant at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. I have been writing since I was a teenager, and won a few poetry awards in college. My wife Mary Beth is an adjunct Life Science instructor at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, West Terre Haute, and knows birds like nobody's business. With our cat Lobelia, we live in an old bungalow near a city park.

My writing reflects my commitment to Jesus Christ since I was twenty-two. Unfortunately it does not reflect any minimal business savvy when it comes to producing something that might appeal to the reading public.  Allegories?  Christian fantasy-adventures?  Even the Hila Grant stories, my 'normal' novels, have a Christian main character who lies and steals.  She has issues.  While merrily experimenting  in unpublishable realism, I pursue other hobbies, including chess, guitar strumming, and reading.

My latest completed novel is Sandhill Street: The Loss of Gentleness, number three in the City Allegories series.  I guarantee you have never read anything like these allegories.

I am working on a new fantasy adventure novel entitled Merlin Slept Here
