Disgruntled Lab Instructor Page's
LIST
Stories:
One semester I had the pleasure of instructing a Physics 106 lab. One of the students was a girl of about twenty or twenty-one years.
She had long, curly, light brown hair and was generally very cute. Each week she would show up for lab promptly at the designated time.
She devoted the first twenty minutes of class to chatting with the other gals at her table. Then she would turn to me with a flip of her head
-- which sent her hair cascading about her shoulders -- and gave me the look that was intended to melt my heart. Next came the question of the day,
in her usual sing-song voice, "Well, are you going to tell me what to do?"
"Well," I said, trying to hold back my true feelings, "read the lab book!!"
We find that only through a Zen-like approach to the WWW can one truly reach Nirvana -- that is, the place where Kurt Cobain lives.
