I purchased this car recently in non-running condition. I tried to get the 260 running, but it was just too tired. I dropped in my 400 Pontiac that I was going to put in my 47. Fit ok, but a little tight. The motor has a new cam, timing set, gaskets, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, alternator, and water pump. I promptly slushed the tranny in the car, so I had to install one of the two that I had reserved for the 47. The one I installed was a th375. I also had to have the driveshaft shortened a tad. The shop put new u-joints and balanced it as well. The car is running great, and it only needs a 4 barrell intake and exhaust. Currently the car is a 2 barrell. I have been through the brakes, replacing the rear pads, cylinders, and lines. The front brakes have new calipers and shoes. The body is solid with 2 year old prismatic pearl paint. The only rust on the car is some easily repairable rear frame rust, and one section of the passenger floorboard. Both problems are easily fixable. The frame problem can be repaired with a 1 inch wide section of steel, and the floor can be repaired with a 15X10 piece of sheet metal. I believe in full disclosure, as you can see. The interior is average. The carpet needs replaced. The front seats are gray buckets, the rest of the interior is tan. Any questions, email me.
