The Time Between...

A few more stragglers fled the city. By January 1st, 1987, only Sonny Corenthos (Nosferatu, now quite powerful), Mike Jamorski (Tremere, likewise), Musashi (Gangrel in case you forgot, stripped of the title of Prince), and White Wolf were known to rest in town. (Of course, they weren’t really alone, but who else was there in hiding is a secret we’re still trying to unravel.)

Musashi and White Wolf were tight back then, and Mike and Musashi are allied to this day. The three of them vied for control with Sonny for the next two years but ultimately no one could gain the upper hand. I’ve heard rumors that it was during this time that Sonny must have diablerized a very powerful Ventrue named Beau Chausset who had been hidden in the Wylie House years before, but I’ve never been able to verify this. It would certainly explain why the Wylie House is a nearly impenetrable fortress.

In July of 1989, an elder of my clan, the Toreador François Villon, united them against a group of Anarch interlopers. Francois began to act as a mediator, peace was achieved and the Anarchs were killed. One year later, the Brujah Leon Trotsky returned with a decree from the Archons that the city would be re-opened to neonates in seven years.

Rakesh Kilba’ne appeared a few weeks later and took control of the University, replacing the Museum of the Supernatural with a display of Egyptian relics. He wasn’t Kindred; he had us believing he was some sort of mummy for a while. It turned out the truth was much, much worse...

This is where I come in. I’d been wandering for a few years, and I decided that I wanted to settle down again. I started a new local newspaper, which I named "The Visage" and I set up shop in the county airport (which has done well, I’m happy to say.)

Casca of the Assamites arrived soon after me, and moved into the neighboring small town of Elletsville. He promptly began teaching the Path of Honorable Accord to Musashi. He gained acceptance in our ranks by claiming to be Brujah, although this lie proved to be rather short-lived.

Our complement of elders more or less complete, we began gathering to discuss what kind of government would be formed. Not wanting to fall back into a Princeship, we agreed to gather as a council to represent our individual interests. It was Francois’ brainchild, and in theory it had merit, but looking back I can only say the Council was doomed from the start.
