"DISASTER IN DEMAR" Earlier today, an Imperial Prison Transfer shuttle lost control and crashed on Demar V - Demar System, Brak Sector. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Imperial officials. Initial findings are that an astrogational error on the part of the shuttle's aged computer systems brought the shuttle too close to the planet while in hyperspace, and the emergency stop overloaded and destroyed the ship's engines. The shuttle was drawn into the planet's gravitational well and came to rest in the heavily forested regions of the central north continent. Official word from Imperial Fleet Management is that along with most of the crew, four prisoners were the only survivors of the crash. Dangerous fugitives, the prisoners attacked and overpowered the crewmembers and shot them to death with the crew's own weapons. Escaping from the area, the prisoners raged a path of destruction along a forested pathway, killing everything in their path. Upon a chance encounter with a passive group of looters, the prisoners shot and killed without provocation and fortressed themselves inside an ancient outpost located in the nearby cliffs. Upon arriving to assess the damage and give aid to the injured, Imperial Disaster Assessment teams came under attack by the outpost's remote security measures which the prisoners somehow managed to bring under their control. The escaped fugituves ignored appeal after appeal for cooperation from Imperial forces, and ultimately managed to escape in a racing ship that may have belonged to the looters that were dispatched earlier. Considered armed and dangerous, citizens are to report any information on these four to their nearest ISB office or Imperial Liason; Professor Aron Kurtz of Corellia University - considered armed and dangerous Karrinan of Yablari - considered armed and dangerous Pierce Neara'deth - considered armed and dangerous Leardo Gillicuddy - considered armed and dangerous +++++++++++++++++++++++++ This has been an NSHN Report All the News That's Fit to Transmit +++++++++++++++++++++++++ ******** "It's all just a bunch of simple tricks and nonsense" wakefld@ican.net Rob Wakefield ********
