The Eye of the Storm

Submission Guidelines

In encouraging creative minds to play in the Battlestorm multiverse, we know it is inevitable that players will adopt house rules, write up new characters and even create whole new works of fiction. We love when this happens, and feel that it is the highest form of compliment the gaming public can give us. We are happy to provide this e-zine as a forum for you to show off such works, but in order to protect ourselves have to set a basic ground rule, namely that any author submitting material to Ral Partha Publishing or its agents agrees that in consideration of a license to adapt the Battlestorm multiverse, any right to royalties or payments are specifically waived unless a specific written agreement is entered into beforehand. This does not mean that we will not pay especially talented writers for their work. Quite the contrary, if we contact you and ask you to write something for us we will give you the credit and compensation you deserve. What it does mean that you agree that you have no right to sue us if we use or adapt something you sent in or discussed with one of the game designers via e-mail, snail mail or the Battlestorm list server. We stop short of saying that such works automatically become our property or are somehow "works made for hire" (as other game companies do), but understand that we likewise cannot expect to survive in the competitive gaming industry if everyone who talks to us about the game thinks that they have a right of action against us.
